MISSION STATEMENT .... Argonn, Animal Rescue Group of Northern Nevada assists in protecting and rescuing all animals in need, especially dogs and cats. In today's economy many of the animal services have been dropped or reduced which is why ARGONN has been created. We help people trap, neuter and release (TNR) feral cats and assist in rescue by educating people on what their options are. Since we do NOT have a shelter, we cannot actually come and pick up animals. Our initial area of coverage currently is Fernley, Wadsworth, Silver Springs and Lovelock NV. ANIMAL ABUSE BECOMES A FELONY IN NV
"Cooneys Law"(SB223) makes certain willfull and malicious acts of animal cruelty will get more than a "slap on the wrist, as a felony charge for animal abuse now comes with a 1-5 yr prison sentence and fine of up to $10,000."

MEETINGS .... Animal Rescue Group of Northern Nevada (ARGONN) was formerly known as Guardian Animal Protection and Rescue (GAPR), a group seeking local solutions for homeless pets through adoption, spay and neuter. GAPR recently combined forces with ARGONN out of Lovelock. Currently meeting every other Sat morning, 10:30 a.m. in a meeting building next to Fernley Free Methodist Church, 100 S. West Street. (behind WigWam Restaurant in downtown Fernley).. ... Please feel free to join us and find out what is going on to help animals in the Fernley area.
NEXT MEETING is May 5, 2013@ 10:30 am.

Future Meetings are most likely to be twice a month at 10:30 to Noon at the Church.
